Las Vegas – Monday 15 & Tue 16 June
We had a great time staying with Gavin & Vanessa Black in Las Vegas. (If you are reading this, thanks again for letting us stay at such short notice!) The night we arrived they took us out to dinner to a restaurant at the Venetian, which was our first taste (literally) of Las Vegas. The casinos really are hugely impressive – the false sky ceilings (which really do make you feel like you are walking down the streets of Venice or Rome etc), the garden displays, the animals, the rides, the fountains etc. No expenses spared!
On Tuesday we spent most of the day checking out the strip, and bought some (relatively) cheap tickets for a Cirque du Soleil show – Mystēre. It was absolutely fantastic!

ReplyDeleteYes, we arrived in Edmonton a couple of weeks ago and I started work yesterday! Unfortunately our blog hasn't had a chance to catch up with the rest of our travels though!
